In other news, Benjamin has been seen around the house for three days without a diaper on! Yup, that's right, without a diaper he will squat on his portable potty and freely pee. Mari discovered it one day while nursing Lucy she said to Benjamin "it looks like you need to pee. will you go get your potty and pee in it?" Moments later he has it in the middle of the living peeing away and once he done he walks the potty into the bathroom where he commences to dumping it into the larger potty and flushing! It's a positive direction for sure but not without some flaws. Like if he isn't being paid close enough attention too he may let it out while helping in the kitchen or eating at the table though I think we have managed to protect the carpet from any major disasters. Going number 2 is a bit more difficult to control or something because that movement hasn't been readily seen in the potty as of yet. Stop by and you may just catch a 2 year old streaking!
Lucy on the other hand is cooing and becoming even fuller of volume with those coo's. She likes to sit up especially while we are all sitting around the dinner table (she doesn't like being excluded from our attention -which is difficult when you are eating some fat juicy Omaha meat). She has begun to drool enough that if your hand is supporting her chest while sitting up you will get drooled on! We are suggesting that she has begun teething. Her brother was 2 months old when he started, thus it's a safe bet.
At any rate, Mari should be the one typing all of this out for more of a first hand experience. I will say I was floored when while all of us were in the kitchen cooking, Benjamin walked through the gate and pee'd in his potty without any prodding from us! They are such joys. J
