We are visiting Mari's family for the holidays. Our trip took us across I-40 in 34 hours. That is door to door. We stopped a little while in Amarillo TX to "get out and stretch our legs". They had a great playground and the weather was nice and warm. Gas across the country was under $2.80 a gallon. It was cheaper on the westside of Knoxville and Oklahoma City. But cheaper on the eastside of Amarillo. My parents gave us use of their suburban and thus we were able to sleep decently along the ride. Here is a picture to share.
