First day home

We arrived home from the hospital around 7:30pm. We enjoyed some rice for dinner and crawled into bed shortly there after. Benjamin sleeps in our room in a bassinet that has been handed down from Grandma Bunker. It's been in the family for at least 50 years. Here is picture of Benjamin checking out his new bed.

Something of interest: When they weighed him in after delivery he came out at 7lbs. 12oz. But 24 hours later they weighed him again at 8lbs 3ozs! Whoa, right?! Well we went to the pediatrician's and he weighted in at 8lbs 1oz. So who is right? We are guessing he was heavier than 8lbs. at birth and the scales were off...
Anyway, here is a random picture:
Mari had four bracelets on and I had one. Benjamin had 2 on his arm and 2 on his ankle. One of which on his ankle was a security badge which meant if we walked him where we shouldn't have it would set off alarms. Things have been OK around here today. Benjamin wasn't happy having his anatomy in public at the doctors office. He was even worse off when we got him to the lab to have his PKU test preformed. The nurses at the hospital didn't draw blood for the PKU test and they left the clamp on his cord. The clamp came off today at the pediatricians office. I didn't have the tool they used to get the clamp off, I guess we would have left it on till it all fell off together.
