Backlog: Nauvoo

We unfortunately did a pretty bad job taking pictures in Nauvoo... But here's what we got:

This is a picture from the carriage ride we went on.  It was a nice overview of the city and the things we could do.  Benjamin thought the horses were great and wanted to go visit them!
Here is a picture of the Nauvoo Temple.  We were lucky enough to find someone to watch Ben so John and I could do a temple session together.  It has been a long time, and was a wonderful opportunity.  We also toured the bakery, the tinsmith shop, the apothecary, the printing press, the Family Living Center, and the John Browning Gun Shop, which John especially enjoyed.  We appreciated the air conditioning in all the buildings, as the temperature reached 98 and the heat index was 109.  We also went to a show called "Rendezvous in Old Nauvoo."  While we were there a cloudburst began and mercifully cooled things off so we were able to sleep (the first night we were sleeping in a tent when the heat index was in the 90s), although the tree falling in the campground and taking out the power did interrupt us a bit.
